Adobo is one of the favorite dishes that Filipinos cook because it is tasty and so easy to cook.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup calamansi juice (you can also use lemon juice)
3 gloves of garlic, crushed
1 large red onion, sliced
Pinch of crushed black pepper
1 kilo of chicken, cut in serving sizes
cooking oil for frying
How to Cook:
1. In a medium pot, mix chicken, vinegar, soy sauce, black pepper, half of the garlic and half of the onion.
2. Bring it to a boil. Let it boil for 15 minutes.
3. Remove the chicken from the soup. Set aside the soup for later use.
4. Fry the chicken until it turns golden brown. This is the secret to make the chicken really tasty.
5. Leave 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in the frying pan.
6. Saute the rest of the garlic and onion. Then put the fried chicken. Mix it for a minute.
7. Pour the soup. Let it boil for 10 minutes.
8. Serve hot. Best with rice.
